Sembawang GRC Town Plan: Putting the ❤️ in Heartland

The SDP’s Sembawang GRC Town Plan, “Putting the ❤ in Heartland”, was launched on 23rd April 2025 during the GE2025 campaign. The Plan offers a people-centered approach as opposed to an urban-centric model. There are nine initiatives that prioritise social welfare and community bonds: (1) improved bicycle management, (2) community storage facilities, (3) resident co-working spaces, (4) more elderly seating, (5) overhead bridge elevators, (6) mindfulness and relaxation centers, (7) environmental protection, (8) tackling sea pollution, and (9) cat care. The SDP’s town plan focuses on community building and calibrating services and infrastructure to align with the changing demographics and lifestyle of residents.
