Policy Brief: Nationalising Mental Health Care

The SDP Policy Brief: Nationalising Mental Health Care was announced on 28th April 2025.  It highlights the need to mainstream mental healthcare as a key component of Singapore’s National Healthcare Plan. The aim is to help Singaporeans facing mental health issues access affordable help as the existing options are largely expensive ones from the private sector. This policy brief aims to address both the root causes as well as offer support systems to confront the structural pressures that are contributing to the mental health crisis in Singapore.
